Live Duval Street Coming to you from Sloppy Joe's

About Live Duval Street

Live Duval Street is a free, 24-hour live view of Duval Street in Key West, Florida. Our cameras are mounted at Sloppy Joe’s Bar on the corner of Duval and Greene streets, and they have been showing the world this corner since 2000.

Why we point a camera at a street corner

Because people miss it. Most of our viewers have been to Key West and want to see it again from wherever they are now. Others are planning a trip and want to know what the street really looks like on a Tuesday in February. Some are locals checking the weather and the crowd before they ride downtown. And a good number are watching for one particular person, who has just texted them to say “I’m on the corner, look for the hat.”

That last group is our favorite. If you are in Key West, stand outside Sloppy Joe’s, call home and wave. The FAQ explains where to stand.

What you'll find here

How the stream works

The cameras send video to a streaming server, which prepares it in several quality levels up to 720p. A content delivery network then carries it to your screen, and the player picks the quality your connection can handle. Like all internet video, the picture runs a little behind real time, so expect a short delay between a wave on the corner and the wave on your screen.

Who we are

Live Duval Street is operated by Progressive IMC and streams from Sloppy Joe’s Bar, a Key West landmark since 1933. The site is free to watch and is supported by advertising and sponsors. If you would like to reach our audience, see Advertise With Us.

Privacy

Our cameras show a public street. Snapshots in the Cam Archive are kept for 24 hours and then replaced. How the website itself handles visitor data is covered in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
